Our Clubs

Founded in c.1861 Melbourne Town Cricket Club (MTCC) has a rich history. The club is currently made up of 7 sides - three adult sides playing in the Derbyshire County Cricket League, a friendly XI playing Sunday and midweek fixtures, and junior sides at each of the following levels: Kwik Cricket, and hardball for U13’s and U15’s. Melbourne Dynamo FC has over 20 male and female teams from Under 7s through to Adult as well as a vibrant soccer school for those under 6 years of age. Dynamo’s website is filling up with 19/20 season preparations being highlighted and the refreshed club Facebook page is up and running.

Melbourne RFC is a popular and growing rugby club with successful senior sides and a large junior section (for boys and girls from 5 upwards). Go to the MRFC website, see them on Facebook, and also on Instagram. If and you like rugby photography.

Founded in 1958, Melbourne Tennis Club is one of the most established clubs in the South Derbyshire area. The club provide a full program of senior & junior level tennis – with extensive coaching, competitive play, tournament and social activities. MTC welcomes people of all ages and abilities and aims to support all levels of competitive play from adults to juniors – offering tournament tennis or just tennis for fun. An affordable membership scheme is complemented by modern changing facilities, a sports pavilion, state-of-the-art flood-lit tennis courts, function room and parking facilities.
